Buying An Automotive Extended Service Contract

If you buy a car an extension of the service contract?

The decision to form an extended service contract or mechanical breakdown policy, sometimes referred to as the purchase is a decision that has many variables. At the age of vehicle use, whenever you like on this car for only a few issues that must be taken into account.

If your line of flight, some of the guru called upon to write pieces of fraud you say “Do not buy, it’s a scam. Honestly, I do not agree with his views, I wonder if the real world knowledge and experience you must begin. If so, I am firmly convinced of his views on others would be prudent.

The fraud occurs when you are rude and pay inflated prices for an extended service contract, are not cheap to begin with, but those who exasperate the cost are the benefits of unsuspecting consumers. Or maybe you ask, as a condition of buying the vehicle to buy, should never be forced to buy under any circumstances.

With participation rates ranging from auto repair easily up to $ 100.00 per hour or more, you do not need a major repair can cost a lot, and the electronics and automotive technology today, parts and prices high.

During my 26 years in the automotive service industry, I can remember many times and many cases where customers wish they had bought, and those who are happy to have made a healthy financial decision.

Consider the following examples of repair cost:

air conditioning repairs may cost $ 1,500.00 for replacement of the compressor.
Transmission repair or replacement – $ 3,000.00
replacing the water pump – $ 600.00
Steering pumps and steering gears – $ 600 – $ 2,000.00

not believe, however, a mechanical breakdown policy astray, cover the screw in the car, there are variables and different types of decision makers. Some caps and packaging, labels wear, damage etc and others do not. Be aware of what does and does not cover before buying, this saves a lot of problems if you have a mechanical problem.

This is an important decision, and requires consideration of the advantages and disadvantages.
My personal and professional opinion is that if you can use the car daily, is the position of two or more years after the original factory warranty has expired, you should plan to purchase additional protection.

He is, after all, such as insurance, hoping that I do not use, but gives you some peace if you have a costly repair.
